Spaghetti-O's Brothers

Hey, no big deal or anything, but I used to love Spaghetti-O's when I was little. Scratch that, even now I love Spaghetti-O's. So naturally, when I found these, I was pretty excited.

:OOO So I bought them of course and tried them out

Oh man, these are lookin' good

Om nom nom nom nom. While they weren't as good as real spaghetti-o's, which is understandable because spaghetti-o's are so delicious, I would definitely say that these were better than normal chicken noodle soup. So next time you're feeling like some chicken noodle soup, grab CHICKEN-NOODLE-O'S!!!!! Really, I'm just happy these exist.

TROGDOR!!!!!!

If you don't know who the real Trogdor is, please follow this link:

http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail58.html

Now that that has been established, my sister has a bunny named Trogdor, and this post is going to be all about him! Here are a bunch of pictures of him :)

Trogdor from afar!

Trogdor from a-close!

Trogdor from a-super-close!

Trogdor running behind a chair...

Trogdor running everywhere!

As you can see, I let him out to do a little bit of running around the house... I took a video so you can kind of see how cute he is running around exploring!

Awwwww look at how cute he is!

We don't let him out often, and you're about to see why....

He poops a lot! And everywhere!

A dramatic close-up on yet another bunny turd. So majestic!

So yeah, Trogdor, instead of burninating all the peoples and burninating all the peasants in their thatched-roof cottages, he likes to poop. Just like all other animals in the animal kingdom. With, of course, the only exception to that being those who are female homo sapiens. They never poop. Ever. Not even a little bit. Just nope.

UofM North Quad 2/26/13

I had lunch at North Quad today! Woo Hoo!!! It was delicious and Evan came with me! I super creeped and took a picture of his tray... see look!

He had chocolate milk again...
Okay so the first thing I ate today was some Chili which was really good. I'm extremely picky about my chili too, so this was exciting. It had large meat chunks and was surprisingly spicy for chili, but I liked that.
Rating: 9
Next I tried this chicken sandwich... which was... eh. I don't know. It basically didn't really have any flavor whatsoever. The fries however were delicious. So I was kind of confused on how I should rank this because the fries are like an 8 and the sandwich was like a 3... but I didn't want to just average them out because the sandwich was a lot bigger than the fries, so thats not really fair... This plate is more like 2/3 sandwich and 1/3 fries... which means....

Oh man. This is getting technical now. Oh! So sometimes the dining halls serve rolls with butter and ohhhh my gosh they are the best. I love bread. Like... I could like on just bread.I I can't even quantify my love for bread. I mean... just look at this.
Rating: 10
I ended up eating 3 rolls, and I would have eaten more, but I'm almost positive I would have thrown up if I had. I also considered stealing some so that I could eat it later but I didn't really have anywhere to put it and it was raining. :( Anyways, last but of course not least I had some cookies! Always delicious.

Rating: 10

Very very good lunch. I love bread days.

MEAL TOTAL: 8.42

Oh yeah. Thats right. 8.42. That was a delicious lunch... I wish I could eat it again... because thinking about it is making me start to get hungry again and I'm pretty sure that the only thing I've got in my apartment to eat (that doesn't require effort to make) is like soup. And candy. I already had cookies today... and also a bowl of ice cream. I'm going to die very fat. But also probably pretty happy.

Rainbow. Cookies.

So today during lunch I didn't have time to document all of the happenings, but I came across something so spectacular, so.... exquisite, that it had to be shared with the world.

Imagine, if you can the mixture of...
Chocolate chip cookies
And...
A rainbow.

It doesn't seem possible, I know. It may not even make sense. But here is what I ate at lunch today...

This picture doesn't exactly do them justice, but they were amazing. Almost... magical.

Cheez-Its

I ate a burnt cheez-it today, it was gross. And I thought, "I hope that never happens again. To anyone." But guess what I found.

That's right, another one. Look at it, all dark and gross and wrong. Now, let me show you what cheez-its are SUPPOSED to look like, just in case the camera and lighting seem to be throwing it off a bit.

Look at it, it's all crisp and clean, but not over done, just like how cheez-its are supposed to be. It's perfect. But whoa....... These cheez-its could be symbolic of our lives, Montez! You could be the dark one and I'm the light one! You're dark and gross and wrong while I'm crisp and clean and perfect!! :D But we're together anyway, just like in this picture.

Also, just so you know, I ate the burnt one and didn't throw it out like normal people do. :)

A Dinner Of Champions

So I went heavy duty grocery shopping and purchased many things, some healthy, some not. Once I returned, it was time for dinner, so I whipped up some serious dinner making. And by serious, I mean not really all that serious. But from some of the food things I bought, I had a wonderful dinner!

What you see here is some combination pizza rolls, got some meat, dairy, vegetable and grain going on there,  Campbell's spaghetti-os, got some grain and some major vegetable-ness going on there, and don't worry, I didn't forget the fruit with my Welch's Black Cherry Concord Grape Juice (There are TWO servings of fruit in that!)

And if you didn't believe me on the major vegetable-ness in the spaghettios, here's a pic, because it happened.

Unfortunately, it's a bit blurry, but under the Nutrition Facts it states that half of the spaghettios is half a cup of vegetables!!! Uh-Oh, that IS healthy!

And since it all is going to the same place, I did a little bit of dipping action. Mmmm. Just kidding, they're better separate.

Barbecue Wings

After I had that dream about bbq wings that closely resembled Applebee's bbq wings, I decided to get some! :) This is what they looked like:

They were delicious. Also, yes I opened them in the car, but don't worry, I was at a stoplight!

I'm getting better at this remembering thing!

Remember those little chickens that took a delicious overnight marinade bath yesterday? Well today they got cooked. And they were delicious.

Yeah, thats right, I've got a George Foreman. I love it.
I made some rice and corn for sides. I love rice.

Woo Hoo dinner!!! Even Timm joined us tonight.

Sooooo remember yesterday when I cooked brownies? Yeahhhh well I forgot to put the eggs in and it was kind of a huge soupy gross mess. So last night I went out and got some new brownie mix and I took my christmas reeces and cut them all up and added them to the brownies. They are amazing.

Katie Cooked Today! (And Remembered to Take Pictures)

So today a giant urge to cook appeared and I just went for it. I think it was probably mostly that I looked at the menus at the dining halls and I really didn't feel like eating whatever crap they were trying to pass off as food, or the alternative salad and cereal. So not only did I cook dinner for tonight, I prepared dinner for tomorrow AND cooked a dessert. I'm awesome, I know.

So the first thing I did (after thawing out some chicken) was make a marinade for chicken to grill tomorrow for dinner. It is a mixture of soy sauce, beer, garlic and some spices. Now they are going to take a nice bath over night until I cook them up tomorrow.

So for dinner tonight I decided to make chicken chili. So first thing first, I thawed out the chicken and seasoned it. Then I dipped them in a mixture of flour and spices.

Next I melted some butter and oil in a pan and added the floured chicken to cook it up. It took about 20 minutes on low and covered the whole time. This way the chicken stays really juicy.

While the chicken was cooking I decided to make some brownies!!!! Yayyyyy!

Okay so the chicken is still cooking but its time to start up on the chili itself. This chili is pretty different but realllly easy to make and it is super delicious. So first thing is white beans and salsa, I usually use hot because I like spice, but I could only find medium :( Its okay... I had some spices to fix the heat! I added a bunch of cumin and some cayenne pepper.

Okay next is the cheese. Pepper jack to be exact. I love cheese, so I always add more than the recipe calls for. Also, I don't buy it shredded because its cheaper in the block, so I've got to chop it up myself.

And the chicken is done cooking! I just tear it up with my hands because I like is better shredded an cubed, so I just tore it into pieces and threw it into the chili.

And basically you just mix up the chili and let it sit on low heat for a few hours to let the flavors to mix together really really well and then it is ready to eat. This is what it will look like when it is done. So simple, but really so delicious. Usually I eat the chili with some ritz crackers but today I decided to make some cornbread because that sounded better. mmmmm.....

And then of course, there was the clean up. I wont show you the before picture, because I don't want to send any of you into a terrible dirty dishes induced depression, but here is the after picture. I ALSO took out the trash! Its been a big day.

And so I'm sure youre wondering... did I reward myself for the cooking and cleaning?
You bet I did.
And nowwww I'm off to study for my four exams next week. Hooray....

UofM Bursley 2/22/2013

Tonight I made the wonderful decision of going to Bursley to eat dinner.... because I saw that they were serving blueberry pie for dessert. The rest of the meal was okay, but that was only because I didn't take too much to eat because everything else looked horrible. So I'm going to guess that Bursley is going to receive an undeserved high rating for tonight's dinner only because I didn't take any of the mystery meat or fish or brown & green smoosh.

First I had some mashed potatoes and pierogies which were both pretty good. And they are going to get separate ratings even though they are on the same plate. I made it into a smiley face :) the nose is one of those Valentine's chalk candy thingys. I didn't eat it because they taste horrible and make your mouth all dry, but my little buddy needed a nose. Everyone in the dining halls must think I'm insane as they see me shaping my food and then taking pictures of it....
Mashed Potatoes: 6
Pierogies: 8
Aaaaand that was basically what I ate for dinner, because the next thing I had was blueberry pie. But I wasn't too hungry to begin with, so it was alright.
Rating: 10
Blueberry pie is my second favorite dessert after mint chocolate chip ice cream of course. But it is a very very close second. This pie was worth the walk in the freezing cold and the crappy dinner.

Final rating: 8
Like I said, Bursley gets higher than it deserves. And to be fair, they don't even make the pie. They just serve it, but whatever, I was happy with my dinner. I haven't had pierogies in wayyy too long. They were delicious.
